Odoo Open ERP 7 - POS Hardware Integration Barcode Scanner, Printer, Cash Drawer

We have got the OpenERP 7 Point of Sale POS working with following Hardware:



1. Touch Screen:

User can use touch screen to create orders.

2. bar-code Scanner:

Bar-code reader/scanner can use EAN13 code and also supports a custom bar code while scanning. After the scan it brings up the product which can then be added to the order. This eliminates the manual selection and searching of products.

3. Receipt Printer:
The printer prints custom receipts of the sale.

4. Cash Drawer:
The Cash Drawer is triggered and opens up where cash can be stored. 

Check Printing In OpenERP V7

In basic module of check writing ,when printing check it prints amount with Euro and Cents as irrespective of base currency.

We have developed a module which gives you facility to print amount with Unit and SubUnit of base currency in Check Printing.

1. Add Unit and SubUnit of Currency in Currency Configuration.

Odoo OpenERP 7 Learning Camp @ Pragmatic, India - Leading Provider of OpenERP Services

Pragmatic has organized a company wide OpenERP 7 Boot-camp to look and learn the new features and functionality of the new version 7 of OpenERP. We looked at the functional and technical changes which have happened in the new version. The general feedback from our team has been Thumbs up. Their are still some rough edges but overall the system has improved quiet a lot. Things have been simplified for the end user.

We will be publishing some blogs in the coming weeks highlighting the new features of OpenERP 7. Pragmatic will soon be starting a migration of some of the community modules of OpenERP to OpenERP 7. Here are some photos of the Learning Camp.
